I recently started using Dr. Perricone Blue Plasma, and I am so obsessed it inspired me to share my favorite skin care products! I have pretty stubborn skin (blemishes, uneven skin tone, super sensitive- you name it, I got it), so I have pretty much tried every product recommended by my Dermatologist, esthetician, and pushy friendly sales associate at the local Neiman Marcus beauty counter. The one thing that works on my unpredictable skin- chemical peels. The down side is 1. they are expensive and 2. you are peeling for days! Dr. Perricone's Blue Plasma gives you the result of a chemical peel, without the down time and the peeling... and it really works. It is pricey ($95 a bottle) but that is less than one chemical peel, and all the reviews say it will last you 6-8 months. My other skin saver is this Revision black mask. It's a deep cleansing and purifying mask that leaves your skin perfectly polished and glowing. The Lumiere Riche Bio-Restorative Eye Balm and the Journee Bio-restorative Day Cream both contain PSP which helps generate skin cell growth. These products aren't cheap but they work and last forever... to compensate, I use a reasonably priced face wash and toner (I love Simple foaming face wash and Mario Badescu toner).

I'm not sure about you, but I am over all of my summer clothes. I have been wearing my favorite neon pieces and white pants since April, and I am beyond ready to trade them in for my leather leggings and sweaters. Unfortunately it is still way too hot to be wearing any of that... so for now some great transitional pieces will have to do, and this Zara skirt is the perfect piece to treat my August wardrobe blues. Also, these Jeffrey Campbell heels are a great shoe to take into fall... although they are white, they are suede and the hardware adds a fun edge.
Well, it's finally here AC fans- Friday! I hope you have a great weekend planned. Texas is officially a sauna, so I plan to lay low and spend my weekend relaxing (in the AC). This Madewell cargo shirt is one of my favorite and most versatile pieces in my closet. I love it tied up with a skirt like this, paired with leather leggings and sneakers, or just thrown on with a pair of jeans. It wears year round, and it's a great alternative to a denim or chambray top.

Over the years I have tried a lot of jeans. Expensive ones, cheap ones, skinny ones, distressed ones...and through trial and error I have developed my "All- Star" denim list. These are the pairs that I literally wear out, and within a few days their replacement is washed and ready to wear in my closet. I have been a J Brand devotee since high school, but about year ago my favorite pair of J Brand skinnys wore out beyond repair. Not wanting to spend $200 on jeans at the time, I decided to replace them with a pair Gap legging jeans... they are now my go-to everyday jean. The wash is great and they have just enough stretch to make them comfortable but not so much that they sag by the end of the day (not a good look for anyone). My only advice- don't buy classic style designer jeans on sale. Promotions- absolutely!... sale rack- no. From my experience, there is something "off" about them (usually poor fit) and they are not worth the money.

She looked fabulous (per usual) vacationing with her boyfriend on the Greek Island of Mykonos last week...and yes, that is Valentino behind her. If we can't spend the last of our summer days island hopping with fashion royalty like our friend OP, we can at least look the part. These Ann Taylor Riviera shorts are chic and comfortable... Do you remember when I posted about ear cuffs here earlier this month? Well my affinity for them is still going strong, and I am still without one. Luckily, I ran across this great DIY on Honestly WTF (one of my favorite blogs), and I had to share it with you! To be honest I am not the "craftiest" of people, but this looks doable (even by my standards). I think I know how I am going to be spending my afternoon this Sunday!
