Anyone that knows me knows that I really am obsessed with like Rosie Huntington Whitely.  Her look is always spot on, she frequents all the best music festivals, and she appreciates a great fur vest... What do you do to liven up two basic prints in your closet?  Pair them together! I am loving the stripes + floral look lately... It's a clean take on the pattern-on-pattern trend. This AC crystal necklace is the perfect pick-me-up for a basic cotton tee.  It is a great piece to layer, but is equally impressive alone for a simple statement.

How precious is this AC Bees Knees necklace! I love it alone or layered with another necklace... such an expected and fun element to add to your outfit.  On another note, I haven't taken the denim overall trend plunge yet, but I am definitely still enjoying my denim romper.  It is so easy and keeps me cool in these crazy 100 plus degrees days.  Invest in one now and take it into fall with a floppy hat, embellished jacket (love this via The Outnet), and booties. You can also achieve the same look by pairing your denim cutoffs and chambray shirt together- you can't go wrong with any wash combo!

GIFT GUIDE

I don't know about y'all, but I have had major baby fever this summer.  Some of our best friends have had their first babies over the past few months, and with the arrival of the baby prince yesterday (check out these fun facts about the royal baby), I could no longer contain my baby excitement! Having six nieces, 15 years of babysitting experience, being a teacher, and having a ton of friends starting their sweet little families- you could say I have a little experience in the area.  I love kids, and I especially love buying gifts for them (you could say I go a little crazy).  Here are a few of my go-to gifts I have found over the years.

Vanessa Hudgen's look while shopping in London last week is so effortless and fresh.  I love the feminine cotton dress paired with the leather turban.  This is a perfect summer outfit with just enough edge. Vanessa kept her accessories simple, but you could pair with a bright shoe or bracelet for a pop of color.

This has pretty much been my summer concert uniform this year.  Distressed boyfriend shorts, a breezy linen top and my Isabel Marant Jenny boots (the perfect year round boot). Comfort is key, oh and tons of layered jewelry. Also, the last thing you want to be worried about is a cumbersome purse getting in your way of having a good time.  I like something just big enough to hold a few essentials with an small strap and fun ethnic print.  What do you have on your summer concert schedule?
